Superhero School teacher Maxim Romanov received the “Choice of the Heart” award at the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2025

Maksym Romanov, a teacher at the Superheroes School educational center in Kharkiv, was recognized in a special category “Choice of the Heart” as part of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2025 award.

Every year, this award is presented by TSN presenter and ambassador of the award Natalia Moseychuk.

“Today, teachers need to be very tech-savvy in order to guide children into the future. That is why the teacher, who has been nominated three times for the TOP-50 Global Teacher Prize Ukraine, wrote a textbook even without electricity so that children could receive it by September 1 September, and now 32,000 students across the country are studying from this textbook. He works to improve the qualifications of his colleagues, is a trainer for NUSH, teaches in an underground school and shelter, and in a hospital for little “superheroes.” This teacher is my choice with all my heart!" said Natalia Moseychuk. Maksym Romanov received 100,000 hryvnias to make his educational dream come true.

Maksym Romanov is a geography teacher who teaches children even in the most difficult conditions. Together with “superheroes,” he travels across continents — sometimes in the classroom, but often in a shelter. The teacher himself says that he is not just a teacher, but an "educational therapist" who teaches not only geography, but also how to trust the world. Maksym is also a NUS trainer, helping colleagues improve their qualifications and teaching at an underground school for children in hospitals and shelters.

This year, the main winner of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2025 was Ruslan Shalamov from Kharkiv — a teacher of biology and ecology, who received 1 million hryvnias to implement his educational dream.
