The Olena Zelenska Foundation will allocate funds for the full restoration of the first Superheroes School at the National Children's Hospital Okhmatdyt, which was destroyed by the aggressor during the attack on July 8, 2024.

Six years ago, our first educational space appeared here in the largest children's hospital in Ukraine. Children undergoing long-term treatment were able to continue their education. In 2024, there were four classrooms and a large library with 14,000 modern and interesting books.

Currently, one classroom has been completely destroyed by a rocket. Another - a classroom for the youngest, for pre-school children - is badly damaged. The library was flooded.

The Foundation will fund the full reconstruction of all the destroyed classrooms. "Immediately after the Russian attack, we decided to support the Superheroes School and help rebuild what was destroyed. We will fund the full restoration of all the destroyed classrooms. We hope that the library will find a new home in Boyarka, where the centre has been operating since 2023. We will also fund the repair of the necessary premises. We are waiting for the damage to be assessed and then we will know how much money is needed," said Nina Gorbacheva, Director of the Olena Zelenska Foundation.

"We collected the first class bit by bit and I am grateful to each and every person who believed in us. I am grateful to the First Lady and the Foundation team for their trust and help. We will go through the dark times together.

The first real steps to rebuild the Superheroes School have been taken. There is a lot of work to be done," said Yevhenia Smirnova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, founder of the Superheroes School.

"We are grateful for the support of First Lady Olena Zelenska. The school has been operating under her patronage for three years now. This year the Foundation will finance the opening of new branches of the Superheroes School in Rivne, Vinnytsia, Kryvyi Rih, Lviv, Odesa and Poltava.
