In the spring, 4 new educational centres appeared on the map of the state institution Superheroes School. Lviv, Rivne, Vinnytsia and Kryvyi Rih will soon have modern classrooms with the support of the Olena Zelenska Foundation. Meanwhile, the teaching teams are working with young hospital patients in their wards.

The Superheroes School has been operating in Kryvyi Rih City Hospital 16 since the beginning of April. Nearly 400 individual and group lessons have already been held there.

"We are convinced that it is not necessary to wait for the right time, the right moment to act. Very often, small actions produce better results than big intentions. And on the very first day of our visits to the children, we received confirmation of this," says Larysa Lukash, director of the Kryvyi Rih Educational Centre.

This is exactly what happened when Daria, a teacher, visited Bohdan for the first time in one of the children's wards for his first lesson. The boy has been diagnosed with autism. "Very often children with autism spectrum disorders do not notice others because they live in their own world. And only a professional approach to working with such children will be beneficial. This was our case," says Larysa Lukash.

Immediate contact - and positive emotions and sincere childish laughter filled the whole ward. The child was smiling and happy - for the first time in years. The tears of a mother who saw her child's joy for the first time in a long time. And the father who held his son's work in his hands like a treasure. Our teacher, Daria, was also beaming with joy, because this small but very important victory for the boy had become a reality thanks to her professional approach and great desire to help.

A few days later, when our teachers came to meet the children in another department, one of the mothers saw our branded 'Superteacher' sweatshirts and exclaimed with joy: "Finally! We have been waiting!"

At that moment, the members of our small team realised that we had become part of a large pedagogical community of Superteachers, creating a world in the wards where childhood reigns supreme," says the director of the educational centre.

The place is currently being renovated and soon the educational process will take place in an ergonomic space equipped with comfortable furniture, modern appliances, school supplies and a library.
