A new multi-classroom will open at the Superhero School in Boyarka
16.09.2025
Students at the Superhero School state educational center in Boyarka (Kyiv region) will soon
have even more
opportunities for learning. Thanks to a group of patrons from Finland, the Olena Zelenska Foundation will
finance
the expansion
of the educational space this year: a multi-classroom and a mental health room will be added.
Recently, Finnish partners, including patrons Kirsi Komi and Maija Sviborg-Jernström, visited the
educational
institution
together
with the Foundation team and writer and educator Linda Liukas. The guests familiarized themselves with the
educational
process and
spent time
in class with the children, exploring the properties of water and creating plasticine appliqués.
During the meeting, they also discussed organizing education for children who have been in hospital for a
long time and
creating
conditions where every student can find inspiration.
Among the guests was Linda Liukas, author of the Hello Ruby book series, which has been translated into over
40
languages. She is also
known
for the Computer Playground project in Helsinki, which turns the basics of computer science into an
interactive game.
The Olena Zelenska Foundation, together with Finnish donors, will continue to support the development of the
School of
Superheroes.
Part of the funds will be allocated by the Foundation to the creation of new educational spaces in Ternopil
and
Chernivtsi.
The School of Superheroes was established in 2018 by the Olena Zelenska Foundation and the Finnish NGO
“Children of the
Future.”
