On 8 July Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Pokrovsk were subjected to a cunning terrorist missile attack by Russia. During the attack, terrorists fired more than 40 rockets. In the capital, the Okhmatdyt hospital was destroyed.

One of the classrooms of the Superheroes School was completely destroyed. It is 23 square metres of childhood and education. The pre-school classroom was damaged and the library with all the textbooks and books ready for the new school year was flooded.

Before the air raid, a class was to be held in the classroom in the toxicology department. It was to be taught by Hanna Lipinska, a teacher at the school. After the alarm was sounded, she quickly took all the children to the shelter and returned to the classroom to collect her personal belongings. At that moment, the building was destroyed and Hanna miraculously managed to get out. Nevertheless, she made it to the shelter and continued to help the young patients there.

The school staff, along with doctors, provided psychological support to children and parents. They also helped clear the rubble.

"Even during the attack, we were there and started to help clear the rubble and help the victims.

I sincerely thank the activists of the Superheroes School community who immediately went to help," said Yevhenia Smirnova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, founder of the Superheroes School.

"The classroom was destroyed. Along with the memories, the children's laughter, the mementos we hold dear - the wishes of the school's friends, the results of our students' creativity. The library was destroyed. But we will rebuild it! Now all our support is for the children. We have not stopped the educational process. At the moment the teachers have gone to the children who remained in Okhmatdyt, to their wards and improvised classrooms," said Natalia Zhylinska, head of the Superheroes School.

"We are waiting for justice and punishment for those who are mercilessly destroying people's lives, who have not stopped attacking medical facilities. Those who ruthlessly targeted children!
